We are currently looking for a Perske spindle unit for our CNC Router. Our machine has 2 heads, and one of the heads has bad bearings. We are trying to find prices and availability on either a rebuilt head, or also a place that rebuilds the heads (preferrably in the Salt Lake City area, but any location is fine). We would also like to price out a new head for comparison. I have attached pictures below of the ID plate off of our current head. We would like to find the same model as what we currently have. If anyone on here has any info on who rebuilds and/or sells these spindles, we would greatly appreciate it. These are not the greatest pictures, so if anyone needs clarification on the numbers please send me a message. Thanks |

| These guys can fix it. http://www.ekstromcarlson.com/spindlerepair.htm Google "Perske spindle repair" and you'll get a bunch more.

| I just purchased a Perske 2Hp spindle on Ebay from the States. All I can say is the spindle was sold as "New" however on arrival it was well packed. The first thing i checked was the runout. Perske specify that a new spindle's runout is <0.02mm at 80mm away from the collet nut when a ground rod/dowel is clamped in the collet. Well to my dissapointment and $1100 US$ later the runout is 0.165mm at 50mm away from the collet. This runout is way excessive! And have to admit I feel awefully disspointed in my purchase considering I still need to purchase an Inverter and reactor. Unfortunaltly we do not have any reputable repair companies here in South Africa. Can anyone offer me any advice? Could this be the ER taper or bearings or perhaps both? I am not sure if this is repairable. Can anybody offer me advice on whether I should strip it down myself and check the rotor a) bearings b) rotor ER20 taper on a set of "v" blocks. Any advice will be mostly apreciated, Regards D |
