Reliable DNC system for 100+ CNC machines?

I am looking for solutions to replace an old DNC system running on a server with user interface accessed through telnet.

When I google for DNC systems I get a lot of hits with simple DNC systems that basically are simple graphical user interfaces with transfer to/from a group of machines within suitable walking distance from the single PC running the application.

I need something that I can run on a server and interface somehow with my own custom GUI since we have a file storage structure and work flow that won't match any standard. It needs to connect to the CNC machines through terminal servers (raw tcp connection to the terminal servers). On average, we need to load an NC program to a CNC machine every 1-2h. If the DNC system does not work production comes to a halt. I am basically the support team and the sites are located from China in the east to USA in the west with me in the central european time zone. Since I want to sleep at night it must be robust and reliable.

Any suggestions for DNC systems to look at? I get the feeling that our usage scenario is quite uncommon

We use "WIRE FREE DNC" out of Somers CT. ie; John Carpenter 860-749-3838.
Never a problem, even with dripfeeding. If you use them tell them Phil Biron from CBS MFG sent you.
