Help with PC Max

Hey guys,

I hope some of you are familiar with PC Max? The fact that PC Max runs on 3.1, 95 or DOS? Well we have 1 computer purely to run it, which takes up room in the office.

I would like to install PC Max on windows XP, which is what the other computer runs on but whenever i go to edit part program and try to go into the conversational editor, i get a small piece of text in the bottom of the DOS window that should tell me the dongle isnt present, instead i get a jumbled up load of letters that dont do much good, though i know what the message means. My parallel port is set up perfectly, i've had a printer run on it previously, but the dongle isnt detected by PC Max, is this because of the dongle, the parallel port, or the fact that PC Max doesnt like XP. Someone i know told me that PC Max will work on XP usin compatability, and i use this but the dongle still does not reckognise. Anyone got any ideas?
