Matsuura MC600 Yasnac MX3

Not sure if the problems are related but it seems so. We had a failure in the RS232 communications on this machine while sending some programs. The machine ust shut down while it was idle. Now when we reboot it we get an assortment of alarms.

329: PC CPU ERROR
327: UNFINISHED PROG GEN
310: SERVO OFF RESET
010: TH ERROR

I was able to clear the 329 and the 010 with a #6014 D7 parameter edit.

But now I still have

327: UNFINISHED PROG GEN
310: SERVO OFF RESET

and have added

330: E STOP

Servo off is normal until the second push of power on for this control.

Any suggestions?

John

Here's what I find regarding alarms 310 and 327 in the Maintenance Manual, and the solution for 327 from the Operator's Manual... Good luck.

Thanks. I did read something about erasing using the 999 but didn't understand how to input. I will try this in the morning.

So it looks like I was able to clear all the alarms except.

330 : E STOP
310 : SERVO OFF RESET

310 is normal. The 330 is only there when e stop is pressed. But now it won't go away with the switch in either position.

Anyone have any suggestions where to find info or where to look for an estop error? Is it a parameter problem?

Duh.

If anyone else ever finds this in a search. Check the spindle chiller for alarms.
Not sure if the problem started there but it ended there?

Did you check that the machine is phased right?

These alarms look a lot like out of phase.

Try just swapping two of the wires coming into the machine and fire it back up.

Hi John I verify the phases and also did the same.

Thanks anyway.

Hello Marco,

We had a problem with E-stop when installed our Matsuura MC-760 MX3 machine.
There is an electrical circuit connecting all parts of the machine that can break the circuit if there is a failure. (e.g. E-stop button on the panel, spindle oil cooling unit, e.t.c.). The last one was a cause of failure in our case, so we added some oil in the spindle and it solved the problem.

I am not sure that the diagrams for 600 and 760 machines is alike, so
you should find an electric diagram for your machine, find this circuit and follow it from start to end.
Maybe you'll find at least what is causing the trouble.

Igor
