Mazatrol overload detection

Hi , is there anybody out there who can point me in the right direction on how to set power/overload detection up on a Mazatrol Fusion 640MT.

What machining process are you doing to cause the overload to happen?

Maybe you need to use a different tool or process that uses less power.

The Machining Process That Is Causing The Biggest Problem Is When Drilling Using U-drills. I Have Had A Few Burn Out Destroying The U-drill And Scraping The Component.

I'd check your process and perhaps even use different tooling like Wayne says.

But for your info, to set the power limits, rpm limits, tool life etc, is done on the tool data page of the 640.

From What I Can See Power Limits Dont Appear To Be On The Data Page ?. But From What I Am Been Told Its All About Using Auxillary Codes m Or Secondary Auxillary Codes a Because The Machine Has A b Axis

From What I Can Now Gather It Looks Like I Have To Insert Data Into The Program Using M Codes , These Range From M370 To M379 Along With A B Code So That The Load On Each Can Be Detected.

Can you describe what your U-drill is? My idea of a U drill is a letter "U" with a diameter of 0.3680 inches.

Material type, machining conditions, coolant type, etc....

After a little web surfing.... Oh you mean a drill with carbide inserts.

I don't use them. They use too much horse power
