I have a Shopsabre 4896. Today, while getting ready to home the machine, I got an error: "abort - Spindle over head must rehome". However, when I attempt to home the machine, I get the very same error. I have tried restarting the machine, I have checked all connections, and I cannot seem to solve this problem. Can someone help me? P.S. Last week, I could not get the spindle to run, and now I have this problem. Thank you, Erik |

DOS, Unfortunately this issue happened over a year ago, so I do not remember the exact solution. However, I do remember that I called the ShopSabre home office in order to solve the problem. They were very helpful, and the issue was resolved in under five minutes. The link below will take you to their contact page with a list of email addresses: CNC Routers | CNC Router Tables | CNC Wood Router | CNC Laser Cutter | CNC Plasma Cutters | CNC Machine Their toll free # is 800-493-6021 I hope that this helps, Erik Boose RT Machine Co. erik@rtmachine.com |

I just started up my ShopSabre 4896 and get the same error "Aborted - SPINDLE OVER HEAT MUST REHOME" whenever I command the machine to move through WinCNC, resulting in a down machine. The router has never turned a revolution, and it's not hot. The machine and computer were supposedly configured to work before shipping, so I don't understand why I'm getting this error the first time I try to operate the machine. There is no literature on this error either from ShopSabre or WinCNC, so I can't look it up anywhere. It's Sunday and ShopSabre customer support is closed, so I hope one of you can post the solution so that I don't have to sit on my hands for 24 hours until they're open. Not the first issue I've had with this machine either... |

| I contacted ShopSabre and they could not figure out why the machine was throwing up the error. The technician instructed me to delete the error code indicator line from the wincnc.ini file, which "fixed" the error (machine works now), but I'm not very comfortable with this method of trouble shooting (delete the error indicator instead of fixing the problem). |
