Need Help!- Hurco KM3P- keep getting unexpected file size error on g code transfer

Hello,

On a Hurco KM3P with the bx control. It has a CMC/amts emulator board.
When trying to do a DNC, or small g code transfer, I keep getting "unexpected file size" error on file transfer from the pc to the controller. It communicates well with the stored conversational programs. When putting in the new master for g codes, you have to use the sequence for an old DOS emulator board. It clears out, and it is ready for the next program. Then the "unexpected file size" error come up on the pc. I use "%" for the leading character on the first line by itself, and "E" for the trailer by itself on the last line.

The short g-code is written in windows notepad.

Do I need to add some sort of mask or file extension?

What am I doing wrong?
