| Wow George! I like your machine. I have a cnc router and use it to make patterns for my aluminum foundry. We often fill the castings(medals etc) with epoxy. I will have to explore this as a way to automate this arduous part. Thanks. Dave

| Very impressive George. Your metering of the liquid seems pretty accurate. Is that a custom valve? We use some darned expensive metering valves from loctite that can handle MEK based glue that ruins rubber seals and diaphrams of others we have tried. The nice feature these have is suck back effect to minimize stringing and drips. Very complex internals with the metering control and pneumatic actuator. I have an 18" x 18" x 12" 3 axis assembly that may become a glue path apparatus very similar to your applicator. It is all Parker Daedal ballscrew slides, with Compumotor motors and drives that someone scrapped at a friends scrap yard. The plan would be to make it assistive for mobility and visually challenged employees. Loading and unloading a pallets of parts would eliminate the hand gluing and alignment issues. Nice video! DC

| I have to tell you that I build a small cnc ROUTER to machining a lot of part for the big one! ![]() The valve is a pinch valve that I build! The pumps this a strange story! I use Viscotec Progressing Cavity Pumps Which cost about 5.000$ each. I need 2 since the doming application is a two component. I found from ebay 5 for 50$ each (3 new 2 used). I was Lucky! George! |

Here is a look at the Loctite metering valve we use. Last ones we purchased were $950usd or so with rebuilds/repair about 1/2 that. That looks cheap compared to those pumps! You did get lucky. Careful though, that ebay Loctite 97113 DC

Last year I purchased from Ebay the same valve as you (never used in there official BOX). I want to make a 2 part shutoff valve by connecting some way 2 one part but then (after a month) I found 2 Garco 2-part valves (2500$ per valve) for only 250$. And I use these now. ![]() I wiil sell sometime soon the Locktite valves! I do not need them any more! Ebay is a paradise! I will spent about 18.000$ the last 2 years and I have A. 2 cnc tables B. components to build another 2 much bigger (motors, drives, power supply, sensors, linear tables, linear rails, ball screws ........everything. C. 4 dosometric systems 2 for one component 2 for 2-part component 90 orders in total ! with no problem at all. I think you have to give ebay a try! |

| Yes, I would say that 2 part dispensing does add some complexity, not to mention the ability to cure in the nozzles. Cleaning them well must be a chore? I have used Ebay on about the same number of trades over the last oh, 10-12 years. Most good experiences but not all . There is the occasional thief on the prowel that don't care if you like what they sell. Once they have the cash, they intend to keep it, regardless if the buyer doesn't consider it a fair trade on a sight unseen sour deal. Ebay policy is no help, even when the sellers listing includes a return/refund policy if you are not satisfied. DC
