Corel Draw seems to retain the dims OK, so far for me at least.

Ok, I have a simple question about converting a pdf to dxf. When I convert a pdf in adobe illustrator to a dxf file then open it up into autocad the measurements are all wrong. What I am trying to do is take some plans in pdf form of a flat foam rc plane and convert to dxf to cut on my router. The plans were posted free on the net for us to download and print out and cut by hand. I can convert them in a tile form to print out on a standerd printer. Does someone know of a way to output the file from pdf to dxf without loosing its dims?
Thanks Steve

Aide PDF to DXF converter works well. There is a similar prodice put out by AnyDWG also that converts from PDF to DWG. Neither are free unfortunately.
If you cut it to small you can always nail another piece on the end, but if you cut it to big... then what the hell you gonna do?

Measure a known distance in AutoCAD and find out how much it's off, then select everything and scale it to the correct size.

Hey guys.
I got to looking at the files again closely. The files were made very small for us to have blown up at a copy shop.
