"Juxtamorphs" by Andrew Werby presents 3d assemblages of natural forms, textures, and images. Opening November 5th at 6 pm at Mercury 20 Gallery, 475 25th St. Oakland, CA I wouldn't exactly call it "machine-created", but my machines were certainly helpful in producing some of the artwork in this show. I used 3d scanners to capture the surface information from various natural objects, a haptic 3d computer environment to combine the scans, and 3d printers or CNC mills to produce the pieces physically. If you're in the SF Bay Area, please come by to check it out. Andrew Werby ComputerSculpture.com — Home Page for Discount Hardware & Software |
