I had a similar problem, and you answered the question. Just add a couple of lines at the top of the program, worked for me.
I have a 760v Matsurra with a MX-1 . Got a program up and running. Got from rhino 3d model, through post processor, down the cable into the machine , set tool offsets, work offsets... ran through program.
I don't understand the memory. I can load a program and it clips off the first line. I can play with all the msec delays and get everything except first line of program.
I can edit that in. when I shut machine off it loses the edit. The battery is good as it doesn't loose offsets.
I'm using tera term . I have manuals...they are very clear after you figure out the problem. The don't make much sense helping you before that.
How do you view programs on memory and how do you number programs going in. It clips off the beginning lines...maybe add some extra lines?
This is getting frustrating. Should I not use tera term?

Why does it lose the edits when I shut down machine? Also do you understand how the memory works and program numbering? How do I view all stored programs? Should the program number be in the program when load it with and O1234...maybe repeat the )1234 a coupel times///
I can't help you with that one. The problem I had was on a different system. Maybe you need to save the edited program, but that is just a guess.
Do you have a % sign and EOB at the beginning and end of the program you are sending to the Yasnac?

I can't find in my MX1 manual how to display the list of registered programs... I'll keep looking.
Thanks for the reply. I will ask one question further...what do I need?
% eob ? The control does hang as if it is not finished downloading. Without anything it finished download but lost line1.
Not sure the two issues are related.
You need %EOB at both the beginning AND end of the program.
Also, re: displaying the list of registered programs, have you tried pressing the PROG key while in EDIT mode? I'm having flashbacks of pressing the PROG key to toggle between the active program and the directory of stored programs. But it was a loooooooong time ago.
So made a number of changes at once and not sure which made all the difference.
1) memory battery was dead. Strange as it kept offsets. New battery.
2) Used Cadem versus Tera term. Cadem nclite has delays at beginning which may be why it dumped line 1
3) Made sure I had %eob at beginning and end of program
Still confused on the way the memory works in this machine. Dont know how to display programs in memory... I ll read manual again now that big problems are solved,
Thanks to those who helped.
Did you try pressing PROG key again?
EDIT - RESET - PROG (displays active program) - PROG - (displays program list)
