Shapes 2d V2
I have been playing with and taking advantage of some of the wizards lately, and this one looks like it would work right into one mold making project I am working on, but I can't figure out how to save or retireve the g-code or if it is even generating it.
Is there a place to discuss or ask questions about Shapes 2d V2 by German Bravo?

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
You can ask right here.
Click the "gcode" button, and you'll see the toolpaths appear. Then "Return to mach3", and you'll be ready to run.
Be sure to hit "enter" after entering any numbers, or they won't be accepted.

You probably are not entering info in a required DRO. Can you post a screen capture when it won't give you the code?

I will see if I I can setup screen capture on my controller computer. I'm not getting any of the scrolling error codes. I keep it stripped down and not on the network.
I experimented some on this computer (but this one is full of crap and slow) and when I do get codes they are just G & M codes. No spindle X,Y,Z moves.

One of the guys on the Artsoft Mach Support Forum gave me the answer.
A lot of the Wizards do not like defaults. With most of them you are setting every variable, but the Shapes Wizard is so flexible, that many items you leave at the zero default. It doesn't like it. Even if leaving an item at zero, open the field enter zero, and then press enter to save it.
When I did that using all the same data it work the first try. I am cutting a test piece now.

I think you missed a critical DRO, like the radius (it's called something else). When I did the test, I left about half of them at their defaults (some were zero), and it worked fine.
From my experience, if a wizards not working, you're leaving out critical info needed by the wizards.
But anything's possible, I guess.

I suppose but all I did was click on each data entry and then hit enter from my previous saved values and zeros. Then it worked. I think I found another bug in this particular wizard so there may be more than one thing going on. A test run on his "Circle" cut came out lemon shaped.

Playing with some of the other shapes in this wizard to see what else I could find I had an artifact destroy a another test piece. In the rectangle tool of all things. Just for fun I decided to try and use the rectangle tool to make a two piece box that fits together tightly. I cut a pocket in one piece and a relief on the next, and fitted them together. Then with the two pieces fitted I decide to cut them both around the outside (relief) to match smoothly ont he outside. For no apparent reason there was an artifact or bad cut that went right onto the material that was supposed to be left behind.
I do not think I'll be using this wizard much at all.
I'm sure glad I tested it on some scrap MDF before trying to make something with it.
