    Support I/O card

Hello I'm sure this will be simple for someone to awnser for me

    I have an adtech 8948. Its a 4 axis control card. http://www.adtechen.com/product.php?...=64&t1=1&t2=14

I'm wanting to use it in Mach3.
I have the drivers installed but It wont recognise on Mach3.

I'm guessing it would need a program written or similar like what they have for GALIL cards?

Where do I start with this I've go Visual basic files and all the programming code to suit the card if its needed. Or is there a better option i should look into to make it work?

    Thanks

You'd need to write a plugin for Mach3 to use that card. Mach plugins are written using C++, not visual basic. If you don't know C++, expect a huge learning curve. You might want to look at this.

there are a bunch of .libs in there, are you hooking to a .dll??
also, it looks like it was compiled with borland, it is just straight C++
you could probably compile it for a plugin for mach3, but you will need to be able to compile it in VS2003, and you will need to download the Mach 3 SDK...

    or,

you can try and use "Eds", plugin Wizard, that allows Use of VS2008, and C++.net but he has his OWN plugin format you will need to follow.

you might be better off talking to one of the Geeks in Tech support for that Card, who handles 3rd party developers.
