Hey all, I was wondering if anybody could help me to make a macro for mach3/encoder problem. ger21 told me a while back that I maybe able to have a macro stop my machine if the encoder readout varyied from the d.r.o, If this is possibable then this would help greatly, The problem is I dont understand vb script editor at all and it p's me off. If I could just get passed this script stuff it would really open some doors for me. What I really wantscript some events like this_ if encoder varyies +/-.01 then feedhold, reference the axis thats's out of wack , then cycle start and move to location where feedhold was applyed and cycle start again and have this do it automated. Just a dream

| Im not sure if Im thinking about vb script editor the right way or not, what can it do?. can I make a sequence of events happen in my gcode or is vb script only for visual manipulation of screen effects I.E buttons and what they do in the mach 3 enviro etc... what I want to do is make mach correct for lost steps, whats the point of encoders if mach 3 does correct this issue. I think there is a device for use with mach/encoders but not 100% if this is the case. Anybody have any input, please need input
