| quick WRITE wizard question What is the "N" tool selection for in the write wizard ? I changed it a couple of times and it made no difference. Problem I'm having is it's leaving some material in some of the letters like in an S. Thanks for any info |

| It's Tool No., or Tool number. It has no effect on the actual letters. I think it probably just adds a tool change to that tool # in the code.

| OK, thanks. Is there any setting that you know of that will keep from leaving some material in the letters that should be removed ? |

| No, I don't think so. Why not just use a slightly larger tool?

| I thought of that too but you would lose details of the font. I guess the only way to get it the way I want is to forget about the wizard and go the CAD/CAM route. Thanks for your replies and help. |

| i would think using a smaller tool, especially for the inside of letters.. sometimes a 1/8 or 1/16 can get where a 1/4 cant dan |

| That's what I'm using, (1/8") and it's leaving some material inside the letters, I haven't found out how to have the wizard make additional passes. The letter size I'm using is only 1" high. |
