Numeric Pad Pendant Setup??

I have just bought a Numeric Keypad to use as a pendant. Could you please explain how I set it up?

Also would be intrested to know what functions you would recommend be assigned to which keys and why?

I have cut a few things on my DIY machine but am still very much a newbie to this.

Question Gcode and Machine Movement

If I write the code below:
X1
Y1
X0
Y0

And save it it only displays:
X1
Y1
X0

And when it runs it moves:
X+1
Y+1
X-1
X-1

There are 4 moves but it doesn't make a square.

Confused??

Where am i going wrong?

Buy me a Beer?

Make sure you hit enter after typing the last line, then save after hitting enter.

That was the answer.

In Motor Tuning, "Steps Per"

If the steps were set to 32,000 and then to 16,000 should the square still be 1" square. In my case it is.

What does it change when you change the "Steps Per"?
