Just now getting up and running. Doing test cuts in styrofoam. Used circular pocket in Mach Wizard. Result is very noticeable out of round pocket. Is this a known problem or is it my machine? I'll try another code in the mean time. |

| It's probably you're machine. Try doing some plain circles with G2/G3.

Don't know how to do that. Can you give me the complete gcode. I do know how to type or paste into notepad and then get it into mach3. Let's say a 3" dia and .25" deep pocket. Thank you. |

| Here's a circle and one with pocket, assuming a 1/4" tool.

Thanks so much for being there for us. The code produced a circle 10.25" in diameter. Then I adjusted Mach for 1/2 scale. The smaller one more clearly shows the defect (flat spots). What do you think? |

| In the general config, make sure your IJ mode is set to incremental. that should make the circle 3". Looks like backlash on 1 axis.

That's the one word I didn't want to hear. Worked so hard to make sure I wouldn't have any. I bet you know a code that would reveal whether it's the X or the Y. |

| It's in whatever axis is up and down in your pic.

Okay. That would be my Y. I'll check for play. I know there's an electronic adjustment also. Does that really work? |
