Calibrating or Putting Mach & Machine on same sheet of music

You may be alluding to a feature I've wondered about before. And I think someone even said it was there but I can't figure out how to do it. Let's say that my machine moves 11.937 inches when I gcode it to go 12.000 inches. Is there any way to simply type in the difference (0.063") and have the machine ZERO itself? Thank you

You dont have to type any G-code just press the button select which axis you want to calibrate. It will then ask for distance you want to travel. The relevant axis should then move and MACH will ask how far it actually travelled and then update the axis calibration for you. Far simpler to do than to explain. Just have a play with it.

    Calibrating an axis

I think I figured out how to do it. I think it goes like this SETTINGS>SET STEPS PER UNIT>X AXIS>OK>HOW FAR....>(SEE 0 HIGHLIGHTED)>OK

However, on my MACH, nothing happens when I type in a number. It's as if my numlock was turned off. It may be because I'm still using the MACH trial version. Don't know.

I think it's a bug, I saw the same thing. It starts with a highlighted 0, and like you said, typing a number doesn't do anything. Click once in the box to remove the highlight, then drag over the 0 to re -highlight it. Then I can type in my number.
