Hi, Give Renishaw Technical Support a call. They can walk you through the process on how to modify the probing speed on a particular marco to suit your needs. They were extremely helpful to me. John

CLEVELAND23 More than likely what you need to adjust to speed up the probing cycle times is the back of factor and not the feedrate of the second touch. Look to see what the back off factor is (#506) for Fanuc controls. Needs to be >0 and <1. Default is .5 Experiment on the bore cycle and Z single surface and keep dialing the BOF down by .1 until you get a probe open alarm and add .05 and verify that the cycles run consistently without probe open alarms. Once you get everything dialed in recalibrate with the new settings. Alternatively, depending on the control you have you can load a 1 touch macro which could run faster. But, usually you are better off going blazing fast (120ipm) on a first touch, backing off (as small of distance as possible), and then take a final touch at a slower feedrate (1.2ipm). |
