can anybody help help me setting up mach 3 with my hardware im sure every thing is wired up corectly. I am using routouts 2.5 amp steper driver kit the wiring diagrams are on there site if they help with the setup .I am using a chain drive system a 10 tooth sprocket .375 pitch i converted this to metric at 1600 steps per rev it works out at 16.7979 steps per mm i have gone through the help files but the axis wont move the motors have pover to them as they are hard tp move any help would be very very gratefully recived as im getting very bald from pulling my hair out lol mart |

| most likely the printer port isnt talking to the motors. I had a similiar problem. You havent said enough for a good answer but just hook up one motor and try "tuning" menu in mach3. If it chatters and makes horrible noises then your on the right track. But if you get nothing in motor tuning, then youre not wired right or your printer cable is bad. |

| One basic thing to check on the low-level stuff, is the "printer" cable needs to be 25 pins straight through. If you buy a "standard" 25 pin parallel cable, it'll only have a few pins straight through and some jumpers on either end. Grab your ohm meter and take a minute to check. |
