| I just finished building my cnc router table, but I can't get it to move through mach3. I've checked just about everything a hundred times but it just doesn't work. The steppers are running on a hobby cnc board, which I have had working with mach2 previously. -Connected with a parallel port cable -The cable is not a cross over -correct port address has been set in Mach3 -parallel port monitor software lets me send pulses to the port, which makes the steppers move, so it looks like the port, cable and hobby cnc board are all working correctly. -pin numbers have been correctly assigned in Mach3 -diagnostics screen in mach3 shows a graphic of the parallel port, running a program doesn't show any action there, so I guess it isn't sending out anything to the port. -sample road runner code does show the spindle move on screen and coordinates are changing as well. Based on these observations, what have I missed? I finally got around finishing my machine and was looking forward to today as I would machine my first part. In stead I've been spending half the day checking cables and settings and still nothing moves |

| Are the pins assigned to Port 0 instead of Port 1?

| I've seen people have this problem before, but don't have an answer. Try creating a new profile from scratch.

Did you assigned output pin# of XYZ enables? What version Mach3 are you using? Some versions may not responding on your computer, just try another one untill you can make it happen. Did you see signal high or nothing on the xyz indicating LED when Mach3 loaded? If signals are all high, you need to pick active low items for xyz axis. Hope this help! |

| Are you using a breakout board that requires the charge pump signal? I have encountered a similar problem when I didn't have the charge pump enabled on the correct output pin to the breakout board. I don't believe that Mach2 had the charge pump feature. Russ |
