    Step active high/low

    I have a quick? question concerning Mach3...... at least I think it's a Mach3 question....

I was troubleshooting my driver and interface. In the ports and pins menu, you can make the step pin active low and active high....... I would think the motor would run like crap if I have it active high when my driver requires active low, but it made no difference at all.....

Any ideas? I tried running through different frequencies too, but still the same.

Depends on the driver, but you should set it properly. It could be an issue with respect to Direction setup and hold timing.

Yea, I thought of hold timing (bit hold duration) and played with that too.

    Oh, well..... Just a curiosity.

    Thanks
