i've noticed there isn't a whole lot of information regarding screw mapping, so hopefully someone can provide some input. i've bought a 24" DRO that i plan to use to map my x and y axis screws. hopefully that will be straight forward. i have no idea what kind of error to expect, but with a 44" travel i'd have to image there is some non linear error that won't be caught with fine tuning motor steps. my main question is - if i slave Y and B axis, can i screw map these separately? not exactly sure how i will do it yet, besides possible placing the DRO right above the screw. thoughts? |
