Using a Shuttlepro with Mach3

I just purchased a Shuttlepro off of ebay. Its the older 13 button model, and I got it cheap enough. The problem is, the shuttle ring doesn't do anything. I can get the buttons programed, and the jog dial works OK, but nothing from the shuttle ring. Shouldn't the shuttle ring also jog an axis when I turn it?

The jog dial and shuttle ring are not configurable in my screen. Just the buttons.

I need to leave the seller feedback. I suspect the ring has a problem. The seller said he didn't know much about what the shuttlepro was or did, but was selling a high end video camera and other goodies at the same time.

Even if the shuttle ring doesn't work, I'm still glad, as it cost me $14.50 including postage. The jog dial and buttons work, so its usable to me.

Sure you set the right type of shuttle? There is like 5-6 different types to choose from. Also follow the instruction on machsupport.com when installing the driver.

Yes. There is a special mention in the instructions on the model I have. The instructions say to configure it as a "Shuttle" rather than a "Shuttlepro". I tried both ways.

Well, I broke down and loaded the Shuttlepro driver on my Mac to test it, and everything works OK. I'm not using the latest Mach3, but I an using the latest plugin. So, looks like its time to step up to the latest lockdown version.

Thanks to everyone!
