Anyone out there ever run Mach 3 closed loop? I understand Galil has a 4 axis motion board that will interface for closed loop instalations.

Thanks for the info. Complicated project, I can relate. We are thinking of using mach 3 to develop a 6+ axis machine. Essentially a small lathe with c & y axis plus 1 odd extra. it will be a dedicated machine for in house use. I have 3 Hardinge HC chuckers that we no longer use in our process so they are the likely candidates for the sacrifice.

I am currenlty doing a lathe retrofit on a Tsugami spl lathe.
I really like the controller and how it works.
