Ok, My machine running Mach 3 just started running at only 30 inches per minute no matter what I set the speed at in the cam software or in the g code itself. I have the it set at 92 inches per minute for all axis in the motor tuning tab and everything has been running at this rate for over a year until two days ago. I am at a loss and I am sure it is something really simple that I clicked on. I need some ideas on what to check out here. BTW these problems came up when I tried to run some of the gcode posted in that g code music thread that is currently a few threads below this one. Thanks in advance for any help, Bryan |

| Can you post a small sample of code that only runs at 30ipm?

| If you do G1 X0 Y0 F50 G1 X10 Does it move at 50? I think the back and forth movement in your code is preventing your machine from reaching full speed. Increasing the acceleration should help, if your machine can do it.

| Sorry I didn't get back here sooner. I did try your code and it does move at 5o inches per minute. I am getting ready to try running another program and I'll see if it works at a faster feedrate. every thing I have been running for the last few days has been with a 0.020" end mill cutting mother of pearl so I can[t use a feed rate much faster than 4.5. I'll report back soon. Thanks, Bryan |
