does anyone know if using a usb port works well with mach 3? I am planning to use that interface on a new build.

To use the USB port with Mach, you need to use a SmoothStepper or NcPod.

That system uses the NCpod.

I recommend you do a bit of research on the NCpod before going down that road. IMHO of course.

Well mate, iyho is the parallel port the way to go? I was going to run from a notebook.
