This is my first CNC machine and first experience with Mach so this is probably really easy but haven't been able to figure it out yet. Got my machine assembled and decided to set up some home/limit switches. I put the x-switch on the left side of the axis, the y-switch on the side of the axis towards me, and the z-switch at the top of the axis. They all work but I think my x-axis switch might be on the wrong side. I used the 'Write' plugin to generate a couple of letters and attached a sharpie to my tool to see how it came out and it wrote them backwards. I guess I need to set up Mach3 to home to the switch and use the Home Offset to set it to the X max instead of zero but when I try to do that and home the axis it goes towards the other side, which should be zero. Anybody know of a way to get an axis to seek the limit rather than a home? If I really need to I can move the switch but I'm trying to avoid it, if possible. |

| Your machine is probably set up backwards. The X should probably be in the other direction. Home Neg will have it home in the opposite direction, but it won't reverse the axis. You need to reverse the motors direction.
