| You need to add a DRO to the screen for the encoder. The regular DRO's won't show the encoder's movement.

| Hi Bryon, what encoder model are you using? What version of Mach3 are you using? I have experimented with a simple 200 line encoder and it never works till now. I think it's the encoder's fault. It's from CNC4PC. To really confirm that your encoder is recieving, you should find a DRO called Encoder Counts, and, whenever you turn your encoder, the count should "Count". Oh yeah, you also have to hook up the encoder voltage ground with the parallel port's ground only you can get it working fine. |

| Hi, The Encoder DRO's are located on the Settings page of the standard 1024.set screen-set file. If you click Settings you'll see a page with an ugly green background and in the middle of it there is the Encoder DROs. If you want them to be in any other place then use the Screendesigner to add them to the screen of your choice. FYI the numbers of the DROs are 29,30 and 31 for X, Y and Z respectively. /Henrik. |
