Absolutely fine. My Vista laptop is my devolopment machine and my cnc computers are xp and win2k. You are just downloading a file. When you put it on the actual computer and open it is when the fun begins, CNC stuff.
I have run my milling machine under Vista and it works fine, but I have a motion control device, not pport, and I haven't run any long programs under vista. I will test it when I am up and running completely.
I am going to try running vista from the pport and desktop on my Taig when I have the chance before I sell my Taig.
Mike.
