I have recently purchased a Syil X4 Plus Mill, and still teaching myself to run it properly. My challenge is that when I do a roughing cut the machine occasionally stalls when moving the axis (X,Y,Z) resulting in the machine coordinate are out of sync with the actual machine.
I can solve the problem by dropping the feed rates down to 100 or by taking very small cuts. This seems to defeat the purpose of the roughing cut. That is to get close to the correct size quickly then finish the job off by taking small slow passes.
Is there a way that I can tell the machine to go back and re home the axis in G-Code. My though here is that after each roughing pass I tell the machine to get back in sync with the Mach3 software. This is a compromise but at least I will be able to walk away from the machine and know that it can’t get too far out of sync.
