mach 3 and STL files

Hi All,

In the "share for file", section of this forum, many people were talking about .stl files. Can Mach 3 inport and export these .STL files. Is it compatible to like a dxf file? I was looking at the Mach3 website and it did not mention any thing about importing STL files.

No, you'll need a 3D CAM program to create g-code from .stl files. Two inexpensive ones are MeshCAM and Cut3D. www.meshcam.com www.vectric.com
