We installed a seccond breakout board to control the limit switches on the mill. using mach3 1.84 software. Need to use a second PC port for it. We enabled the port but mach3 basically locks up the mill when this is done. tried to make sure have the correct I/O hex address for LPT3 however that also, did not work. tried a starteck and wiseland pci to parel. cards out thinking of trying a dual sigII now. can anyone advise how to get the second LPT/Par. port going with mach? seems it is conflicting pretty badly. |

| Look at this page http://www.beyondlogic.org/spp/parallel.htm and check the section labeled "Port Addresses". You will see that the real LPT1 address is 3BCh. I have found in the past that when I install a second LPT port, I have to set the new card as 3BCh and that becomes LPT1 and then the port on the motherboard becomes LPT2. |
