Hi, Just bought a Wabeco Lathe with OneCNC Cad/Cam and Mach3 as a controller package. I'm about as versed in the CNC world as - well....yeah. In any case, I'm having trouble when importing the Cad drawing file into Mach3 software. The toolpath looks different than programmed. I'm wondering if any of you would take the time to simply lay out a simple step by step process in getting a OneCNC file over and loaded properly into Mach3 so that all runs smoothly. I'm close, but feel I'm missing something right under my nose on the process. File formats to save, etc. Thanks, Chris |

| Are you running the post processor on onecnc? Where are you putting th posted files? I have a g-code folder on my desktop. I post all my files into there, where I further review. Mainly to assure no crashing. I save them as a text (.txt) file. On mach you simly click load program (or code), then you would browse for the folder conatining the file, then open the file. It will run throught the program as it loads (no machine movment). Then run program. Since you are claiming to be new I will WARN YOU. YOU CAN CRASH THE MACHINE. If you are haveing troubles getting a program loaded, you might want to read some threads on how NOT TO CRASH... You really need to proof the program before running it. BE CAREFUL. Marc

| Thanks.....will go put my earnings into the slot and see what I get! Didn't realize that Mach would read the .txt file....was thinking it was .TAP or .NC or .NCC which I know nothing about. If I can get a clean file from the .txt....you're the man! Chris |

| If you can't get a good file with ONEcnc. you had better be on the phone with them. I just checked last week and that base was $6,500 (3axispackage). was in a discussion and had to check. But you should have no troubles with MACH reading a .txt.... I use ONLY .txt for all my stuff... It wants .tap the first time I think... I just about have it TRAINED to ME.lolololo Glad to help... Marc
