    My Axis is lagging

I am using Mach 3, and when coming up out of a pocket with the Z axis, it seems that the next block begins to execute before the z motion is finshed.
Is this an indication of too high of feed rate?.
    I am using steppers.
I wind up with a curved interface, instead of a 90 degree corner

You're in Constant Velocity mode, G64. You can set Mach to Exact Stop mode (G61) in the general config screen, and you'll get sharp corners. The down side to exact stop mode is that mach3 will come to a complete stop at the end of every move. Higher acceleration settings can minimize the corner rounding in CV mode.
