Hello Im Luis from Mexico i already bought a DigiSpeed GX i want to use it for the 0-10v Analog output to controll the VFD i read the manual and i connect it to the Grex 5v source and put the two jumpers for manual control i mean using the Trimpod, but the Spindles go very slow like 500rpm, I check the voltage between AV+ and AGND an the Voltage at the output is 0.35v!!! I move the trimpot and it only go from 0 to 0.35V! What im Doing Bad? Im thinking that maybe could be that the Grex 5v source is very weak so if i connect it to an external 5V Source this will be working fine? Thanks Luis |

I answered on the Mach Yahoo list, but; The Digital side of the DigiSpeed-GX circuitry, powered from the GRex consumes around 20mA so that should trouble the GRex Supply. You also need to provide a 10V supply to the analog side of the DigiSpeed-GX circuitry. This 10V must be isolated from the GRex 5V supply. Usually, your VFD will have a +10V supply that is meant to be used for this type of application. It should be connected to the AV+ terminal on the DigiSpeed. The DigiSpeed-GX also has an optional isolated DC-DC converter that can be used(if fitted). Cheers, Peter.

| Hello Peter I hope you will see this message Maybe i didnt explain me. but the spindle is not working fine because from 3000 to 6000rpm the Spindle Current goes crazy! it starts jumping from 0 to 100% and it never stop! and i can hear how the spindle motor sound like it is forze! Another question is.- i check the Grex Analog Output Voltage and it is from 0 to 10V instead of 0-5V does it affect the Grex output? Luis |

I answered your (this) question on the Mach Yahoo group the other day. Disd you get it to work? Cheers, Peter.
