This is primarily a Mach3 question but I am using Picstep4 with v2 firmware. My machine: 200 step /rev bipolar motors 18 tpi screw and I want to 1/4 step First, Am I right in calculating this to be 14400 steps/in? I would enter this in the motor tuning dialog box If I then go back and zero out the axis then Jog the machine, it should read "1.000" when my machine has traveled one inch, right? Mine doesn't I have a shunt on the J1 jumper but not on the J2 jumper on Picstep. This should be 1/4 stepping in the v2 firmware right? What am I missing? Thanks, John W

| OK I think I found the problem. I was using a wizard that had mm or in. option and while I didn't pick either and neither was lit up it was defaulting to mm, so "1.000" was not what I thought it was Thanks for looking I still have some picstep problem but I guess they belong in another forum...
