I am getting ready to build a new router table and have lost touch as to the cuurent development status of Grex and Mach. I want to go away from the parallel port. But am concerned that the development may not be there yet. Can you cnc'rs please advise me if I should go ahead and buy the grex or something else.

| I'd guess that it's a few months away still. Firmware development is slow, and is holding back Mach3 development fot the G-Rex. You might want to look at the ncPod. A Mach3 plugin for it is also being developed, and may be complete in a few weeks. Not as powerful or feature laden as a G-rex, but no parallel port. http://ncpod.oemtech.com/

| Sorry, Mariss. I guess I should have asked what he meant by "is it there yet". And I also should have said a few months away before it's fully functional. There are quite a few Mach3 features that currently are not working with the G100, Correct? But yes, it will run g-code and let you cut parts. But not all things are currently working, as I understand. ( I read every message on the Mach3 Yahoo group, btw.)
