Before I waste countless hours making adapters to mount encoders on my stepping motors does anyone know if the Mach 3 takes into consideration the backlash of an axis when calculating the distance travelled by the encoder? Thank you.

| It doesn't calculate anything. All Mach3 does is display the encoders position.

| so mach 3 directly displays the position of the encoder? So if this is the case then it would not take into consideration backlash correct?

| Correct, it will only display the encoders actual position.
