MACH 1..the BEST choice in affordable software for CNC control

Just a very pleased customer that encourages anyone into hobby/commercial machining that is set up for CNC,to give it a try.

IMHO, Mach 1/2 is a superior product compared to more expensive, complicated DOS controller packages available commercially, and is easy to use, has a pleasant user interface too.........will run your steppers/ servos soo smooth and precisely(and In my exp. will not lose steps as other windows controllers do.....
Something NOT though possible within the Windows envirement.
Art has proved those comments to be ludicrous.

I ran a test on a machine I had and was very impressed how smooth the stepper ran. It is a pretty user frendly program and is packed with features.

I replaced my vendor's MS-DOS software with Mach1. I kept breaking .031 Mother-of-Pearl bits due to acceleration issues. Mach1 gives me very fine control. I haven't broken a bit since switching to Mach1 and tuning my system up. Mach2 will probably be the future of all small shop CNC control systems when it is combined with Gecko 2002. That should be about 8 months away. Yes, I'm another VERY satisfied customer!!!

Yeah. I just hate it when I break a $25 bit !

Or even worse when you have one break off and ruin a $60 piece of stock!

I find it hard to believe that anyone who tries out Mach1/2, will be dissappointed!

Whats the max step-rate of Mach 1?
I use the larken Lcam software and its works smooth and fast. Also is the most userfriendly ive seen.
I Tried CNC pro but it was jerky and lost steps

What about using a camtronics drive?
