Has anyone tried using the tool comp in mach 3; I use it in mach 2 and I can see in the toolpath display where the tool comp'ed path is different than the non-comp'ed path (a profile cut around my part, done once without comp then again with) But in mach 3 it showes the same path with and without tool comp. Maybe my lead-in moves are incorrect. Also, does moving the Z axis alone (without X & Y) turn tool comp OFF? Thanks Dennis |

| Mach3 doesn't show the comped path until you cycle start. The green run path will be on the comped path. Be sure to turn on advanced comp, I think it's in ports and pins under mill options. Mach3's advanced comp is much better than Mach 2's. And no, Z only moves won't turn it off, only a G40 will.

| I think eventually the display will be changed to the way Mach2 does it btw.
