need some help really bad...
I had everything working. Then I reinstalled Mach3 and now I can't get the motors to respond.
Everything is setup exactly as before. I have a six wire setup per the breakout board instructions.
I have three common grounds going to ena -, pul - and dir -, then I have individual positives going to ena +, pul + and dir+
I have two KL4030 drivers that I am using I had everything working before although initially I had the same problem before as well but when I switched to the external 5v source vs. USB it appeared to fix itself. This time I'm not so lucky, neither one seems to work.
One thing I'm noticing is that the ena voltage is only putting out 2.7v, where as I'm almost positive that before it was putting out close to 5v.
Also, it seems that if I wiggle the wires on the pul, dir side, I get minor responses from the motors. Just like they are engaging.
I don't understand how installing a different version of mach 3 could cause this.
I reinstalled the old version too, but I'm not sure that it truly reinstalled the old version.
Does anyone know the potential reason. I ran the driver test and it said excellent although the wave forms appeared eratic albeit with a straight line.
Some similar drivers will work with no connection to the enable terminal.
You could give that a try - even if it doesn't fix things, it won't break anything.
i don't use mach3 ,but following some of the post on here i think you have to reboot your machine immediately after installing mach3
if you did not you will will have to uninstall , reinstall , reboot
