    So what does that do?

    Mach3,Import BMP/JPEG?

I load a basic JPEG and it says "convert", I do this and nothing happens....well something happens but it takes forever and a day and by this time I give up and cancel the convert.

Doesn't even do a simple box of lines.

    Whats happenin guys?

Is this in LazyCAM, or an old version of Mach3?

What it does is create g-code to do a 3D carving of the image.
Depending on your settings, it can take a very long time.

You didn't answer my first question above. Is this LazyCAM, or an old version of Mach3?

The .dxf import listed in the manual has been removed, and replaced with LazyCAM.

Yes, LazyCAM installs with mach3 (if you let it) and does the importing/g-code creation. It's buggy, and unfinished, and I'd highly recommend a more polished CAM program. But many people use it regularly, once they get used to it.

Importing .bmp and .dxf is not what Mach3 does.

Load some g-code into Mach3 and go from there.
