Try entering E800 for the port address.
Hi guys,
im currently setting up mach 3 for use of my cnc, and came across a problem with my parralel port.
since my pc doesnt have an onboard parralel port, i purchased a PCI parralel port card.
of course this means i cant use the standard port adress in mach3's port setup, so i looked for my PCI port's adres... i went to the Windows Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager, then went to the tree "Ports (COM & LPT)".
i found my parralel port card, went to the properties of my PCI Parrallel Port (LPT3) and went to the Resources tab.
i found:
I/O range E800 - E807
I/O range E400 - E407
i put in 0xE800 at mach3's port adress box, but when motor tuning, when i press my up and down arrow keys to move the motors, nothing happens. output pin 5 of the parralel port is high and always remains high, other pins just dont do anything. i can see this by looking at my breakout boards status LED's.
there seems to be no communication to my Parralel Port...
i used this tutorial to setup the ports and pins
http://www.kelinginc.net/Mach3Tutorial.pdf
the breakout board and drivers are all home brew, im positive that they all work, ive tested it by manually applying voltages to some of the inputs of thebreakout board connector. to make the cnc move.
i would apreciate your advice, thanks!

Hey Ger,
I've tried entering only ''E800'', but the problem persists.
also when i checked back to the ports and pins tab, mach3 made it ''0xe800'' again, even tho i applied before clicking OK when setting it to ''E800''
puzzeling!
