You can do it with a Super PID.
CNC4PC has some options that might work, but the SuperPID is a better choice imo.
Is it possible to control the variable speed of a Porter Cable 7518 router with Mach?

That is a definite YES!
I am in the process of finishing up a complete electronic retrofit of my Shopbot PRT 48 X 96 CNC Router. I installed a Super PID Kit to control the speed on my Porter Cable 7518 Router. It has excellent torque control from the minumum 5000 RPM to the maximum rated speed with good low rpm torque. I am using Mach3 with Gerry's 2010 Screen Set and PMDX Electronics.
I have attached a few pictures of the electronic equipment drawer I am presently working on. The super PID unit is in the front left side. The LED Screen is not currently connected to the yellow extension cables. The LED Screen will be incorporated into the Engraved Plexiglas LED Edge Lit panel front cover.
