I am currently running DeskCNC, but I am strongly considering switching over to Mach 3. I do like the way DeskCNC uses the controller board to generate the steps instead of the Printer Port. Is this a feature that is supported, (I had read on another forum that it looks like it was in work at one point). If it is currently supported, will it continue to be supported? Thank you |

| Never used it, but have you looked at Smoothstepper? I think the Galil motion card add on for Mach is still a work in progress? Al.

| I'd had a lot of issues getting this working the first time around (bad electronics, etc), but now most of what I am running is a lil on the older side. Through playing with the demo of Mach 3 (and EMC2) I see some nice features I'd like to to have. I'm also thinking about getting a lathe, so since I will be spending more Money, I'd like to "invest" it in a better supported product. I'm not knocking DeskCNC, I really like it, but the support is lacking. |

| No, the DeskCNC board cannot be controlled by Mach3.
