Im going nuts here. I have 3 G201's, automationdirects 434 steppers, a 24vdc 6.5 power supply, winford brakout board, and running mach3 mill. I did have these motors turning fine and working great but I rewired everything because I moved it to a bigger control box. now sometimes they will move just for a second or two and then they stop. Ive checked my wiring 5 times along with my power out puts on all supplys and everything is good. Im almost postive its mach3. Ive changed around my step, dir pins and I can get them to run in one direction, Other times they buzz. Ive played with motor speeds and active lows but still nothing. I figured I would ask for help before I start jumoing up and down on it.

| Did you have it all working in Mach3? Have you looked at the videos at http://www.machsupport.com It sounds like the acceleration may be too high, or their is noise on the step and direction lines.

| I had them working with mach3. I tried all speed settings. They only make sounds some of the times most the time nothing. I did change the type of wire I used do you think that could be it.

| Alright I played around and stripped it down to only one axis wired. I got it working in one direction but now I cant get it to go in th reverse direction. Would that mean my dir signal is messed up? I did try switching pins to.

| If you have a break out board, bypass the unit and go direct to the Gecko's. There is a post with a really great wiring diagram that you could use to reference: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showth...0&page=3&pp=15 Have you tried to check the voltage at the motor windings for the reverse direction, or even swap the coil for the one that works to the reverse direction coil? /Mikie |

| Well I got a new breakout board and that didnt work. I even tried wiring it direct and still only one direction. I starting to think it mite be the geckos. Any new ideas.
