    first test

    Hello all.
I'm testing my machine in mach 3 i try "cross.dxf" file that came with software but everytime I adjust x,y,z to the specific position of my wood board when i press start the software start cutting i totally different positions specially z is about 2 inch above the material. I try many times to play with referral all home but that option didn't help. What else i should do?

First, be aware that if your machine is set up in inches, that it's 55" wide, and 40" high. Use the scale DRO's to change the size.

The 0,0 location is near the center of the skull. Jog to the center of you're board, and zero the X and Y axis.
Then jog the Z down until it touches the board, and zero the Z axis. Jog up a little, and hit Cycle Start.

Either should work, but clicking the zero buttons would be the recommended method. If you don't have home switches, don't worry about Ref All right now.

    Whatever you like to use.

Some use CorelDraw. Some use CAD programs. Try Draftsight, it's free, and pretty popular.

You'll need to edit the g-code. Or, try using the Multi-Pass wizard.

On the Wizards menu, Pick Wizard.
It's the only option. The Wizards are listed in Alphabetical order.
