Problem- Running a big file

When I run a big file my gantry machine starts moving slow and irregular. Even jogging doesn't work proper. If I unload the file and load a smaller one the problem is gone.
What can be the reason and how do I solve it.

I don't know if this will help or not but you can increase the number on lines mach reads ahead in there somewhere. I recently had to to that to mine.

I answered on the mach3 forum, but I will here as well. The problem is large files cause the toolpath display to use too many resources. Turning off the toolpath display will fix the problem.
I've heard that his is supposed to be remedied in the next version, whenever it gets released.

I'll try both first thing next monday. How many lines to look ahead is enough for a 3D file. Now I have it on 200.

Look ahead isn't the problem, it's the toolpath display. 200 should be fine.

Is there a simple way to switch the tool-path display off?

I think on the toolpath page and the diagnostics page there are buttons.
