On my techno router, when I press pause, the z axis retracts 2 inches and the spindle stops. When I do this in Mach on my home built machines it just pauses the job and the spindle keeps running. How do I get Mach to behave like the techno? To un-pause or continue a job, the techno starts the spindle and moves the bit into position. Alternatively Mach doesn't start the spindle and just continues the job from the current position without a preparatory move. How do I get the axis to move back to the paused position and start the spindle automatically?

| You'd need to change the Cycle Start and Feedhold (Pause) buttons to run some VB code. Have the feedhold button pause, stop the spindle, store the current position somewhere, and move to a specific Z position. The Cycle Start would need to check the status of the Pause LED. If not paused, just act like the normal cycle start. If paused, then start the spindle, return to the previous position, then Cycle Start.
